Learn more about the miracles that reveal the power and glory of the Most Holy Rosary.
“Among all the devotions approved by the Church none has been so favored by so many miracles as the devotion of the Most Holy Rosary.” (Bl. Pope Pius IX)
Throughout the course of history and to the present day, God has performed miracles of healing, victory, protection, and many more through the prayer of the holy rosary. Revealing the power and glory of this treasured devotion, may these miracles inspire us to pray the rosary with faith in God’s power and trust in His loving providence.
A Miraculous Healing
“Since you have faith, why don’t you use it?”
Miracles are still happening through the power of the rosary.
In 1938, a young seminarian was diagnosed with tuberculosis, which was an incurable condition at the time. As his health deteriorated over the next year, a priest challenged him to pray with faith and ask the Blessed Mother for her help:
“What (Mary) asks for and insists on she obtains. She has never failed anyone who had recourse to her with faith and perseverance. Since you have your faith, why don’t you use it!”
The seminarian heeded the priest’s advice, began devoutly praying the rosary, and asked the Blessed Mother for a cure.
Not only did the seminarian miraculously regain his health, “his depression, darkness and feeling of loneliness were replaced by lightness, freedom and hope.”
Brought back to life from the brink of death by the Blessed Mother’s prayers, he was ordained a priest and went on to spend his life preaching the power of the holy rosary.
This young man became the Venerable Father Patrick Peyton, known as "The Rosary Priest”.
Sharing the miraculous power of the rosary which he experienced firsthand, Father Peyton led 540 rosary rallies worldwide during his lifetime, encouraging millions to pray the rosary for unity and peace in their families, a legacy which continues still today.
"The family who prays together stays together," was the Rosary Priest's battle cry.
May we heed his advice, pray the rosary every day, and invite others to do the same.

A Miraculous Victory – The Battle of Lepanto
Miracles of the rosary have changed the course of human history.
On October 7, 1571, Christian European forces faced a fleet of the Ottoman Empire who threatened to invade and wipe out Christianity in Europe. In advance of this battle, Pope Pius V ordered the churches of Rome be opened for prayer day and night, and called Christians to embark on a campaign of prayer of the holy rosary. Despite being outnumbered, the European fleet was successful in battle in the Bay of Lepanto, which proved to be a turning point in repelling the Ottoman Empire’s invasion of Europe. The Church commemorates the Our Lady's powerful intercession for victory at Lepanto each year on October 7th, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.

A Miraculous Protection – Surviving the Atomic Bomb at Hiroshima
On August 6, 1945 the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, killing or injuring over 140,000 people. Eight Jesuit priests in their rectory which stood within the deadliest one-mile radius of the bombing not only survived in the initial impact, but went on to live without any adverse effects of the radiation that killed thousands in the subsequent months.
Interviewed and examined over 200 times by scientists and health care workers about their miraculous survival, no ill-effects from the radiation were ever found in their bodies. The priests said, “we believe we survived because we were living the message of Fatima. We lived and prayed the rosary daily in that home.”

May these miracles inspire us to take up the weapon of the rosary and storm heaven with faith and perseverance for the miracles we need.
The Combat Rosary™, modeled after the 1916 WWI U.S. government-issued ‘service rosary’, is a powerful reminder that God heals, protects and provides in miraculous ways for the faithful on earth, especially in their darkest hours. Prayed devoutly with faith in God’s power, the rosary is a tool that “touches the Heart of Jesus, Our redeemer, who loves His Mother.” (St. Louis de Montfort)
