90-Days-to-Peace-Campaign Roman Catholic Gear

90 Days to Peace Campaign

We are thrilled to announce that the Roman Catholic Gear 90 Days to Peace Campaign will begin this Ash Wednesday, March 2nd!

For 90 days, from Ash Wednesday to the Feast of the Visitation on May 31st, we’ll journey together in prayer to become stronger in Christ so that we can experience that peace that “surpasses all understanding” mentioned by St. Paul in scripture. 90 Days to Peace will entrench essential Catholic practices into our lives and allow Christ’s peace to permeate our hearts, homes, and country at a time when it is so desperately needed!

Morning prayer, the Mass, mental prayer, the Angelus, adoration, confession, evening prayer and examination of conscience, meal prayer, the rosary--these are some of the ancient, best practices the Church gives us to fortify our relationship with Jesus so that we are not overcome by the forces of the world.

Over the course of 90 days, we’ll help each other incorporate these practices into our lives so that we can stand strong in Christ together, for the welfare of our souls, the souls of our family and friends, as well as the country’s.

What’s the Significance of 90 Days?

Anyone who’s tried a new diet or exercise program knows just how difficult it is to create new, healthy habits. In the world of psychology, it’s said that it takes 21 days to form a new habit. However, after 90 days that new habit is entrenched, becoming a solid way of life.

For us as Catholics, we are always striving to entrench Christ’s presence into our own lives so that we can truly cling to Him. 90 Days to Peace will help us grow deep roots in our daily spiritual habits so that by Pentecost, we’ll have a sturdy foundation that won’t bend in the wind of the storms of life.

The payoff of developing habits of a deeper commitment to God will be huge--we will experience His peace even in the midst of a severely troubled world! And by Day 90, the Feast of the Visitation, we will leap with joy like St. John in the womb at the presence of the Lord in our lives.

A Community of Prayer and Support

Lent is the time when we’re called to fight the forces of sin and temptation with all our strength. The peace of Christ is worth fighting for! But you don’t need to battle alone. Join us in the 90 Days to Peace Campaign with the US Grace Force lead by Father Richard Heilman and unite your prayers and sacrifices with Catholics from around the world as we fight to grow strong in God and His peace. Receive spiritual reflections from Fr. Richard Heilman and join our Facebook group to connect with others on the journey.

"You might ask, “Why is 90 days important?” Psychologists agree in what is called 21/90. The 21/90 rule states that it takes 21 days to make a habit and 90 days to make it a permanent lifestyle change. We need to cultivate these practices in our lives permanently, so that we can play offense instead of haphazard defense." -Fr Richard Heilman

We begin Ash Wednesday and end the Feast of the Visitation on May 31st, where we together will leap with joy at the peaceful presence of the Lord in our lives. Peace through strength in Christ!
