My husband is not only my hero, but he's our children's hero. Travis and I have been married for 20 years, we have 8 children and he is currently Active Duty. We started our married life with both of us being Active Duty, however as time went on, and we started having children, we made the decision for me to stay home.
Travis has been deployed three times, and during the second deployment, he missed the birth of our 5th child. As Army life would have it, he also missed her 1st birthday because of another deployment.
He does everything with integrity, loyalty, honesty, and an inner peace that is admirable. I call him my St. Joseph because he doesn't complain, he's not prone to anger, and he does everything he can to support us. He is my hero because of these qualities.
